DESCRIPTION:
SCC 200–CHEMISTRY TWO is a one semester, one credit course which builds on the concepts learned in Chemistry One. SCC 200–CHEMISTRY TWO includes the study of the phases of matter, gaseous state chemistry, liquid and solutions chemistry, acids and bases, rate of reaction, chemical equilibrium, organic chemistry, and electrochemistry. Extensive laboratory work is used to introduce and reinforce concepts.
On completion of this course, you should have mastered the basic principles in order to be prepared for college chemistry courses, have an increased understanding of the scientific method, and have familiarity with basic laboratory technique.
